The primary objective of this position is to maintain assigned assets of the San Antonio Food Bank. Duties include janitorial, minor maintenance, event set ups, and other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for the overall building cleanliness and maintenance.
Maintains overall condition of the facilities, grounds, equipment, and machinery of the San Antonio Food Bank.
Set-up, break down, and clean-up of special events and meetings.
Cleans all areas of the facility (i.e. offices, break rooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, etc.)
Maintains awareness of broken or non-functioning items (i.e. plumbing, doors, windows), repairs or reports right away.
Paint and touch up buildings inside and outside the facility, as needed.
Work with volunteers and groups to assist with facility needs.
Accepts additional duties as assigned.
Scheduled hours are flexible and could include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Some schedules are Tuesday to Saturday.
Applicants are required to submit to a drug test as part of the hiring process.QualificationsQualifications:
High School degree or equivalent.
Previous work experience in commercial cleaning and light maintenance.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively with other Food Bank staff, agencies, neighbors, and volunteers.
Attention to detail, proactive mentality, and task completion.
Possession of a current Texas driver’s license, liability insurance, and a clean driving record.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Work Environment
This job is performed in an indoor office environment and occasionally may require attendance at outdoor events. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
