Facilities Technician

Location San Diego, CA | EmploymentType: Full-Time

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Technicianto help keep our site running safely, efficiently, and in full compliance within a cGMP peptide manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day facility operations, perform maintenance and repairs, assist laboratory and manufacturing teams, and play a key role in safety, environmental, and emergency response efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on facility systems and equipment

  • Support GMP and Process Development labs with equipment servicing and material handling

  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors to ensure safe, compliant work

  • Conduct facility inspections and support cleaning and sanitation programs

  • Handle hazardous waste and participate in emergency response activities (HAZWOPER-trained)

  • Assist with equipment installation, validation support, and EHS compliance

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

  • At least 6 months of experience in a laboratory or technical environment

  • Willingness to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Forklift certification

  • Basic knowledge of GMP, lab operations, and safety regulations

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset

  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and on flexible schedules (including nights or weekends as needed)
