The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking to fill the position of Facilities Technician. This position works for the Office of Building Services in the Facilities Section to ensure that the beautiful and historic Thomas J. Moyer Judicial Center operates for staff and guests to the building.

What You'll Do:

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, this position will perform a variety of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks associated with commercial building systems. A strong HVAC background, including experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a commercial or institutional environment is highly preferred. Additional experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall installation and repair, small appliance repair, electrical systems, and fountain or pool maintenance is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to safely and efficiently diagnose and resolve building system issues. Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years Maintenance or building trades experience.
Strong HVAC background highly preferred.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• General knowledge of common equipment and tools including use of electrical meter(s).
• A valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or team lift to 100 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally work in various outdoor weather conditions.

This is a non-exempt unclassified position, reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator. The salary range for this position, which is commensurate with experience, is $50,000 -$73,000. This position will receive a commuter stipend each paycheck.
