- Responsible for the maintenance projects as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor and Manager. To perform duties as required for the casino and surrounding assets. Provide maintenance of casino, barge, and hotel under the direction of the Supervisor.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY-

  • Performs daily tasks and assignments as assigned by the supervisors and/or manager.

  • Performs daily assignments as instructed by the supervisory personnel.

  • Repair and maintain all aspects of the property.

  • Various other duties as directed by Supervisors or manager.

  • Performs general maintenance projects on the interior and exterior of the Casino and support facilities.

  • Fabricate, install, repair and maintain all facets of the facilities maintenance program to ensure continuous operations in all buildings and mechanical facilities.

  • Inspect all assigned equipment, making note of weak or defective parts and making recommendations for correction.

  • Assures exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.

  • Treat others with courtesy and respect.

  • Adjust and is flexible to meet changing work needs and demands.

  • Works cooperatively with own and other teams to achieve common goals.

  • Exhibits cooperative attitude while working on all job tasks, willingly assisting others.

  • Demonstrates proper dress code, which includes proper display of the employee I.D. badge.

  • Demonstrates proper use of safety practices in all procedures.

  • Immediately report unsafe incidents or unsafe conditions when they occur to the supervisor.

  • Demonstrate proper use of PPE (glasses, gloves, belts).

  • Must assist patrons in answering questions and directing them to areas of safety during emergencies as directed by management, security, or facilities crew members.

  • Must attend OSHA and related safety training.

  • Return equipment to proper location, in proper working condition, properly emptied of solutions, cleaned and ready for next use.

  • Demonstrate proper equipment usage according to department standards.

  • Customer concerns in the employee’s area of responsibility are handled immediately and reported to the supervisor for follow-up.

  • Must adhere to all company/departmental policies and procedures. Must be aware and adhere to internal control rules.

  • Must use appropriate materials and supplies.

  • Must observe all safety regulations while at the job site.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS-

PHYSICAL - Must be able to:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.

  • Able to work in group atmospheres.

  • Able to work in fast paced environment.

  • Able to work in stressful and busy situations without impact to service standards.

  • Work in different areas of The Facility under varying conditions of heat, cold, illumination and air quality.

  • Tolerate presence and/or use of chemicals, cleansers and solvents.

  • Move/use supplies and equipment.

  • Hear. Can be augmented with a hearing aid.

  • See.

  • Climb steps repeatedly.

  • Stand, sit, or lay for prolonged periods of time as needed.

  • Must have good coordination

MENTAL - Must be able to:

  • Communicate.

  • Write to complete reports and record keeping.

  • Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums and other instructions.

  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must have and hold a state issued Driver’s License and have a clean M.V.R. for 2-year period (no at-fault accidents). Five years of experience in maintenance fields. Previous Casino experience is helpful. Ability to work well with others. Good oral communication skills and organizational skills are a must.

GAMING:

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
