Join Our Team as a Facilities Technician!
KDC is seeking a hands-on, dependable Facilities Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of our facility, compounding equipment, and manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with a variety of equipment, and making sure everything operates at its best.
In this role, you'll work across electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, mechanical, and general facility maintenance functions while following established SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, and applicable codes.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Perform routine inspections and periodic checks of facility and compounding equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and take corrective action to restore proper operation.
• Perform industrial electrical work, including wiring, wall outlets, and lighting.
• Complete welding, soldering, and brazing projects.
• Operate shop equipment such as drills and bench grinders safely.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout the facility.
• Conduct inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to identify potential issues.
• Perform plumbing and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Order parts and supplies needed to complete maintenance activities.
• Operate powered industrial equipment while following all safety requirements.
• Accurately complete required documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and other records.
• Follow FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and other sensitive information.
• Work collaboratively with team members while also taking initiative to identify and address potential problems.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed to support business and production demands.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of facility maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs and Work Instructions.

What the Job Is Like
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds manually.
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, crouch, push, and pull.
• Reach with hands and arms and use hands to handle and feel.
• Hear and communicate effectively.
• Spend periods of time working at a computer.
• Wear required PPE and uniform standards, including a hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, and steel-toe shoes/boots.
