We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Facilities Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our members, staff, volunteers, and guests.

What You'll Do
As a Facilities Technician, you'll play an essential role in keeping our facility operating smoothly by:
- Performing daily facility inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns
- Completing general maintenance and repairs, including painting, minor repairs, furniture moving, and equipment setup
- Assisting with cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility, including locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces
- Setting up and breaking down rooms for programs, meetings, rentals, and special events
- Performing preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Assisting with snow removal, salting, and seasonal exterior maintenance
- Supporting vendors and contractors during maintenance and improvement projects
- Maintaining organized storage areas, tools, and supplies
- Completing work orders and documenting completed tasks
- Following all YMCA safety procedures and helping maintain a safe environment for everyone

QualificationsWe're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, custodial services, building maintenance, or groundskeeping
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and safe work practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for work order management
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 25 pounds safely
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Perform snow removal and other seasonal maintenance duties
