/Objective: This position will work with the facilities team on the day-to-day operations of Timberwolves and Lynx spaces at the practice facility and occasionally Target Center arena. This person will be responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep of these spaces and equipment, and assisting in long term strategies and facility developments. Additionally, on game-days this position will assist the Director of Facilities to make sure Target Center is game-day ready with regards to spaces around the facility.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:
• Respond to facility maintenance tickets and perform routine and reactive repairs across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool systems, carpentry, painting, and general repairs) for Mayo Clinic Square and team spaces at Target Center.
• Maintain doors, locks, access hardware, and complete inspections and preventative maintenance using CMMS software.
• Support event and game-day operations, including setup, teardown, league-mandated courtside and signage requirements, and broadcast logistics.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor inspections, preventative maintenance, and specialty services.
• Maintain pool operations and compliance, inspect humidification systems, keep accurate records, communicate facility updates, and ensure all Timberwolves and Lynx spaces remain guest-ready.
Experience:
• We are looking for a candidate with 3–5 years of maintenance experience, but we are highly open to individuals who are mechanically inclined or other trades who possess a natural 'fix-it' mindset. The ideal technician is a proactive problem-solver who can independently leverage resources to troubleshoot and master new systems quickly, and has an eye for detail to keep our facility world class.
Education and certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPO certification preferred
• Experience with general pool system maintenance is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: This position does not travel.
Benefits & Compensation
• Compensation: The base salary range for this non-exempt role will be: $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:30PM. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx home games, member events and meetings, and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Travel Position will not require travel.
