
The Facilities Technical Executive (Building Systems) is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of all building systems and infrastructure. The role ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard, coordinating maintenance activities, supervising contractors, monitoring building conditions, provide Facilities Management (FM) administrative support services and ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
Work Scope – Facilities Technical Executive (Building Systems)
Support the daily operation and maintenance of building systems, including structural, architectural, plumbing, civil works, and associated building services.
Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, deterioration, and maintenance requirements.
Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance works to minimise disruption to facility operations.
Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in accordance with approved standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
Supervise contractors performing building maintenance and repair works.
Ensure contractors' compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements at all times.
Review, verify, and endorse service reports, work orders, and job completion checklists.
Provide Facilities Management (FM) administrative support services, including the preparation and verification of invoice claims and other administrative matters related to the FM scope of work.
Ensure overall building cleanliness and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Monitor the condition of buildings and infrastructure, including walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and external areas.
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to enhance building reliability, safety, and occupant comfort.
Participate in safety briefings, risk assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes.
Ensure building systems and maintenance activities comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe working practices and good housekeeping throughout the facility.
Higher Nitec or Diploma in Building Services, Facilities Management, Civil, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in building or facilities maintenance.
Good knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and statutory requirements.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office, MAXIMO, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
