Reporting to the site's Facilities Managers, the roles are responsible for coordinating and planning facilities and workplace services within a corporate environment. The roles focus on ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of workplace, maintenance, and support services in line with contractual and operational requirements. The positions requires strong leadership and project management skills and the ability to implement best practices in the facilities management.

You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace, while driving continuous improvement across facilities operations. As required, work hands on as a team member to ensure project or activity completion.

We are recruiting for 2 positions:

  • Position #1: Facilities Supervisor, based in Epworth Richmond Full-time, permanent.
  • Position #2: Facilities Supervisor, based in Epworth Eastern (Box Hill) Full-time, permanent.

You will make an impact by:

  • Coordinating day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring the workplace is safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard
  • Contributing to department efficiency by effective utilisation of time and resources
  • Working with various departments and disciplines to ensure they are aware of project requirements and interruptions

To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a facilities environment (essential).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and developing teams.
  • Effective communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic environment.

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 14 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive, meaningful, and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community, delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbourne's east.

Qualifications

  • A Trades qualification or equivalent experience in a facilities management role or similar.
  • A mechanical or electrical certificate (desirable).

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best.
