Shift: 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday but must have flexibility to work weekends and day shift depending on business needs.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager, Facilities Operations in leading a team of general maintenance technicians to provide service to owners and guests in the maintenance and repair of timeshare guest units and assets. This individual will participate in the training and supervision of their team. This Supervisor will serve as a role model, develop talent and provide staff support in handling complex situations and ensure the staff’s commitment to meeting service expectations. This supervisor will provide direct supervision of engineering maintenance teams to assure proper response to requests for service, planned maintenance, and preventative maintenance. This individual must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with industry and company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Supervise work assignments, response and problem resolution, provide technical support to all maintenance personnel.
  • Assists with oversight of entire facility, including all units, all pools/recreation areas, administrative and sales offices.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve concerns as it relates to the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds and resort common areas.
  • Implement and facilitate skills training for assigned teams. Assure all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Assist in controlling department budgetary expenditures.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Senior Manager, Facilities Operations and General Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and assists maintenance technicians for keeping equipment in safe and operable condition. Follows and coaches’ maintenance technicians in the adherence to guidelines set forth in the employee handbook and brand standards and makes responsible decisions based upon these guidelines.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Extensive experience in preventative maintenance programs, including planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure optimal facility performance

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, including maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of facility equipment and appliances

  • Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, including, maintenance, repairs, and related components

  • Skilled in general building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and structural repairs

  • Ability to perform multi-trade maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and structural systems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Minimum of four years combination of work experience and/or vocational training

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Certifications are preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

  • Demonstrates a high degree of judgement and making sound decisions
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written standard operating procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Must have strong troubleshooting and face to face guest communication skills.
  • Must be able to follow written instruction and complete documentation associated with unit maintenance to include using company work order software.
  • Familiar with fire/ life safety systems
