What is your role?

As a Facilities Senior Supervisor, you will lead maintenance and facilities operations for a dynamic manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. You will oversee maintenance teams, manage capital and improvement projects, and drive initiatives that enhance operational performance, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Plant Maintenance Department operations across Safety, Reliability, Mechanical Integrity / Process Safety Management, Capital Execution, Planning and Scheduling, Equipment, and Infrastructure.
  • Supervise plant maintenance technicians; optimize manufacturing uptime and develop technical talent through structured coaching and performance oversight.
  • Maintain, improve, and govern the maintenance management system including work order platforms, mechanical integrity programs, and departmental standards and procedures.
  • Manage department budget and capital spend for asset replacement, reliability upgrades, process improvements, and equipment refurbishment; track spend against approved budget.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for maintenance failures; develop corrective action plans and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure reliability and efficiency progress.
  • Provide technical support to plant safety and environmental programs; serve as the on-call point of contact for high priority facility issues and emergencies.
  • Identify and adopt best practices from the Corning network and peer manufacturing sites; implement improvements to advance site-wide operational performance.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, facilities, or maintenance environments.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing operation.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, execution, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and applicable Mexican safety regulations (NOMs).
  • Experience with CMMS platforms, maintenance management systems, and reliability programs.
  • Fluent English and Spanish communication skills.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience in metal fabrication, molding, coatings, surface treatment, aseptic processing, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience applying Root Cause Analysis methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone, or Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, PEx, MEE, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, MAXIMO, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
