Facilities Supervisor – Full-Time
Norfolk/Oxford Region
Salary: $65,076- $71,094

Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager (RFM), the Facilities Supervisor, is responsible for providing supervision and support to the team of Facilities Coordinators within the region, stewarding resources to ensure high standards of quality in our infrastructure, sites and services while maintaining strong working relationships with program staff and tenants alike. This position requires excellent leadership and communication skills and a strong understanding of building management practices.

Hours of Work: Full Time- 40 hours per week, primarily weekdays. Participation in the on-call 24/7 rotation schedule is required every 4-6 weeks.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Supervision and support of Facilities (FC) and Environmental Services Coordinators (ESC) in Norfolk/Oxford, including regularly scheduled check-ins focused on the following:
◦ Performance
◦ Staff wellness
◦ Goal setting and tracking
◦ Values alignment
• Check-ins with Regional Facilities Manager
◦ Minimum bi-weekly
• Regular check-ins with program manager/supervisor/representative (monthly)
• Assist coordinators with high-level, high-priority, or otherwise complex repairs when additional capacity is needed
• Assist in providing oversight of Preventative Maintenance Schedules
• In collaboration with RFM, facilitate team events (work blitz, team building, etc)
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new staff
• Provide oversight of work order management and completion
• Oversight and management of Tenant Employees, in collaboration with FCs and ESCs
• Volunteer support, in collaboration with FCs
• Assist Manager in capital job implementation
• Provide oversight for Fire Life Safety checks and certifications
• Support with POs, in collaboration with Manager
• Collaborate with HVAC team to execute preventative maintenance plans and calendar events
• Collaborate with coordinators on building certifications required.
• Back-up support for on-call emergencies
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
• 2+ years of supervision experience, or a similar relevant experience
• A basic understanding of and compassion for individuals who have experienced mental health concerns and/or substance use
• A warm, sensitive, and caring approach
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have a genuine interest in supporting people living with mental health concerns and/or substance use
• Relevant experience in trades, construction, or property maintenance
• Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment
• Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) with the information therein acceptable by Indwell to meet the operational requirements of the program- at one’s own cost
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification from an approved provider that meets Ontario provincial standards or willingness to register for the training within 30 days of employment-reimbursement by Indwell
• Effective communication via various means (i.e. phone, email, office 365 suite)
• Previous knowledge of Yardi an asset
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 25 kilograms) as work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather
• A team player who is committed to upholding and modeling the standards set out in the organization’s Mission Statement and other operating standards and policies
• Ability to work independently, have strong problem-solving skills, be flexible, organized, responsible, and take initiative
• Comfort with appropriate sharps disposal and training in biohazard clean-up are considered to be assets
• A Valid “G” class driver’s license and access to vehicle
