ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support a prime program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.

Primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of buildings and chillers at NASA Goddard for the ROME contract.
Position reports directly to the Mission Operations Manager; functions independently with management direction and review.

Major Job Activities:
• Prepares daily report for center.
• Conducts monthly general preventative maintenance on mechanical room equipment.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations.
• Performs all assigned work to ensure the safety of the building’s tenants and the continuous cooperation of the site.
• Prioritizes service calls and follow-up upon completion.
• Responds to tenant complaints and needs through both personal contact and work order systems.
• Prepares and maintains maintenance logs and records.
• Operates Metasys Energy Management Systems.
• Works with minimal direct supervision.
• Complies with applicable federal, state, NASA, GSFC, and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
• Follows furnished information directives; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies and Procedures, and contract requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:
• Work is generally conducted in an office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Maryland 3rd Class Stationary Engineers license or associate degree in technical field

Minimum Qualifications:
• Five (5) years’ experience in developing Emergency and trouble call procedures and response plans.
• Training, managing, and supervising a crew implementing the procedures and plans.
• High school graduate or equivalent
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving Record.
• Must be available to work other shifts as directed, to include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
• Ability to solve problems and work independently or with minimal supervision in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
• Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
• Demonstrated working ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Specialized areas of performance:
• Experience with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Experience with NCC/Siemens fire alarm systems.
