Department: Facilities Management

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Jefferson City - 221 Metro Drive

Reporting To: Daniel Grzenia

Compensation: $28.10 / hour

Lead the facilities work that helps create safe, welcoming spaces where people can thrive.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours weekly.

The Facilities Service Supervisor provides regional leadership for the maintenance, housekeeping, repairs, renovations, and overall upkeep of organizational facilities. This role ensures buildings, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, well-maintained, and aligned with regulatory standards while supporting the teams responsible for keeping each location running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance and housekeeping operations across an assigned region.
  • Oversee work orders, assigning projects to appropriate staff or vendors and monitoring completion.
  • Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, construction projects, safety initiatives, and emergency management needs.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and help ensure locations meet applicable safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Supervise, support, and develop assigned staff, including training, performance development, scheduling, timecard, and time-off management.
  • Partner with Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, vendors, and other stakeholders to communicate facility needs and priorities.
  • Prepare updates and reports related to projects, facility needs, and regional operations.
  • Participate in departmental and committee meetings and other organizational initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance and respond appropriately to situations impacting staff and patient safety.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned region and provide support where facility needs arise.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School/GED preferred
  • At least two years of supervisory experience required
  • At least five years construction, safety, or management experience preferred
  • Must have a working knowledge of reading floor plans, NFPA National Building Codes, National Fire Codes, Local Building Codes, CARF, Medicare/Medicaid and OSHA requirements regarding safety and equipment
  • Must have a general knowledge of buildings, construction, remodeling, and project tracking achieved through specific training and/or experience
  • Must be able to multitask multiple projects, disciplines, environments and sites and work independently with mostly remote access to supervisor along with possessing cognitive, organizational, and emotional ability and maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines and difficult situations
  • Must be able to regularly travel within their assigned region and attend trainings
  • Must be proficient with general office computers, functions, and mobile devices
  • A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
