In this role, you will help maintain the infrastructure and services that enable our operations to run smoothly. You will collaborate with employees, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate facility services, improve site experiences, and deliver small capital projects from concept through completion. This is a highly visible role that combines operational execution, project coordination, and stakeholder management.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Facilities Services Project Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for facility service providers and internal stakeholders while coordinating services and capital improvement projects that support site operations. You will balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with project leadership activities, ensuring quality, safety, cost efficiency, and compliance with Novonesis standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate contracted facility services including custodial, landscaping, and non-production facility maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Novonesis and external service providers while maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Monitor service performance, conduct audits, and resolve service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and facility-related repair needs through the CMMS system.
  • Coordinate office moves, event setup support, and facility improvement activities in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.
  • Lead small capital investment projects through planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, start-up, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional project teams while coordinating vendors, contractors, consultants, and engineering partners.
  • Manage project risks, stakeholder communications, change management activities, and schedule performance.
  • Monitor field execution activities to ensure adherence to safety requirements, quality standards, project scope, and timelines.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

Required qualifications and experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a continuous processing industrial or manufacturing environment with progressive responsibility.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance, facility services, construction, or capital project activities.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance and construction safety practices.
  • Experience supporting or executing capital investment projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems such as SAP, CMMS platforms, and MS Project.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Relevant community college coursework in facilities management, maintenance, construction management, engineering technology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications related to facilities management, maintenance, project management, or construction.
  • Experience working with external contractors and service providers.
  • Knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes.
  • Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with risk management and change management methodologies.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

This role is site-based and requires regular presence within manufacturing, maintenance, and industrial environments across the supported locations.

Working conditions include:

  • Frequent movement throughout facilities, production areas, and project sites.
  • Participation in field inspections and project monitoring activities.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access equipment or confined work areas as needed.
  • Ability to operate around industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments that may include noise, temperature variations, and active maintenance or construction activities.
  • Flexibility to support facility issues, maintenance activities, and project milestones when business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 based on experience
  • 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
  • Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time
