Job Category: FacilitiesThe Facilities & Sanitation Supervisor oversees daily sanitation and stewarding operations across high-volume food & beverage and casino environments, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance. Led cross-functional teams to maintain efficient operations, support guest satisfaction, and uphold health department standards.
Key Responsibilities & Achievements:
- Direct day-to-day activities of EVS and stewarding staff, optimizing workflow efficiency and maintaining consistent operational excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations through routine inspections of back-of-house kitchen areas and front-of-house public spaces.
- Supervise cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and facilities to meet strict hygiene standards.
- Train, coach, and mentor new team members, reinforcing best practices through pre-shift briefings.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and operational materials, monitor usage and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate waste management and disposal processes in alignment with safety and environmental standards.
- Support scheduling, staffing adjustments, and employee performance management, including addressing disciplinary matters.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures, ensuring team adherence at all times.
- Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve operational processes and service standards.
QualificationsEducation and
Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in stewarding, housekeeping, or hospitality.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Must have a knowledge of OSHA PPEs procedures and Chemical safety.
