Facilities Project Coordinator

Location: On-Site--East Hartford/Middletown

Type: Contract To hire

Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Project Coordinator to support commercial construction, renovation, and facilities projects within a large campus environment. This individual will assist with office buildouts, workspace renovations, furniture moves, and facility improvement projects while coordinating vendors, contractors, schedules, and project documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction coordination, facilities management, project administration, or commercial renovations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate small to mid-sized construction, renovation, and facilities projects from planning through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and project documentation
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Support site readiness activities and oversee project logistics
  • Track project costs, change orders, scope updates, and customer requests
  • Review contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with bid package preparation and procurement of materials, equipment, and services
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings and communicate project timelines and requirements
  • Coordinate furniture installation, office moves, and workspace reconfigurations
  • Create and update move plans and facility drawings using AutoCAD
  • Provide regular project status updates and maintain organized project records

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting commercial construction, facilities, or project coordination activities
  • Experience working with office renovations, tenant improvements, or commercial construction projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience reviewing project budgets, schedules, and project documentation
  • AutoCAD experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working within a corporate campus, facilities, or property management environment
  • Familiarity with furniture planning, space utilization, and move coordination

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
