Job Description

Facilities Operational Support

Welcome Break Support Centre, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, MK16 9EZ

Rewarding salary up to £45,000 + annual bonus scheme & fantastic benefits

As our Facilities Operational Support, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate fixed asset records and supporting the day-to-day management of reactive maintenance requests across Welcome Break.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll travel to our sites to audit and asset-tag equipment, keep ServiceChannel records accurate and act as the first point of contact for reactive maintenance issues. You’ll work closely with site teams, Facilities, Procurement and contractors to diagnose faults, resolve minor issues remotely and make sure contractor callouts are only approved when genuinely needed.

What you’ll get as Facilities Operational Support at Welcome Break:

  • Rewarding salary based on your experience + annual bonus scheme
  • Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement, where applicable
  • Company laptop and mobile phone
  • 50% off onsite brands, including KFC, Burger King, Starbucks and Taco Bell, for you, your family and friends when visiting together
  • Paid breaks to help you recharge
  • Family-friendly policies that support you and your family
  • MyWB discounts and reward portal, including savings, cashback and cycle to work
  • My Wellbeing Centre and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Inclusion Networks, making sure everybody is included and recognised
  • Pension scheme and holiday allowance in line with company policy
  • Training and professional development opportunities
  • Free onsite parking across all Welcome Break locations

This role could be a great fit if you:

  • Have at least 10 years’ experience in a quick service restaurant environment and understand the practical demands of busy operational sites
  • Are highly organised, accurate and confident managing records, priorities and deadlines
  • Communicate clearly over the phone and can guide colleagues through basic checks and troubleshooting
  • Use sound judgement to assess issues, make informed decisions and follow them through to resolution
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Have a full UK driving licence and are happy to travel between company sites
  • Ideally have experience in fixed asset management, facilities, maintenance coordination or a CAFM platform such as ServiceChannel
  • Bring a practical understanding of building services or commercial equipment, although this is not essential

What you’ll be getting stuck into as Facilities Operational Support:

  • Visit Welcome Break sites to complete physical asset audits, identify equipment and apply company asset tags
  • Maintain an accurate fixed asset register, including asset details, locations, status, additions, disposals and movements
  • Upload and maintain asset records in ServiceChannel, updating information after installations, relocations, repairs or disposals
  • Register and tag newly acquired assets before they enter service, working with Procurement, Facilities and operational teams
  • Review reactive maintenance requests, contact site teams for more information and guide colleagues through basic diagnostic checks
  • Resolve minor issues remotely where possible and release work orders only when contractor attendance is genuinely required
  • Escalate critical issues quickly and record all advice, actions and outcomes accurately in ServiceChannel
  • Monitor contractor attendance and job progress, review completed work orders and investigate No Fault Found visits
  • Identify recurring faults and opportunities to improve fault reporting, reduce avoidable callouts and control maintenance costs
  • Produce clear reports on assets, compliance, reactive maintenance activity, contractor performance and data discrepancies
