The Dartmouth Group is hiring a Facilities Manager and Maintenance Technician for its community in Bourne, MA.

Facilities Manager, $65-$75K

Facilities Managers are responsible for an organization or facility's overall maintenance, which includes ensuring that equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications, work performed meets safety requirements, and all maintenance workers follow appropriate federal and state safety guidelines. The specific duties of maintenance managers vary according to the specific industry or organization, but generally include creating and following preventive maintenance schedules, overseeing a staff of maintenance or custodial staff, and inspecting and testing equipment or building systems.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections.
  • Coordinate maintenance repair with maintenance team onsite and outside maintenance contractors.
  • Manage maintenance and capital projects and ensure work is completed per terms of the contract.
  • Perform maintenance repairs as appropriate.
  • Follow and maintain routine maintenance schedules.
  • Manage direct report.
  • Other duties as requested.

Maintenance Technician, $28-$30

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Landscaping: prune and cut-back trees and bushes; light fence repair.
  • Carpentry: drywall, paint, patch, repair, roof patch and light repair.
  • Light electrical: change out light bulbs, light fixtures, light sockets, and photocell light sensors.
  • Janitorial: take out trash and general cleaning.
  • Conduct pool water testing. Willingness to obtain CPO, company paid.
  • Other projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Customer service focused and team oriented.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
