Job Description

This role oversees the maintenance team (4-5 people) responsible for all building maintenance, upgrades, build-outs, and continual improvement for 6 distribution/repair facilities within the West Chester area.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 2:30PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, assign and perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing and security.
  • Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair / maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
  • Assist with construction project management.
  • Act as point of contact for custodial team.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports (cost analysis, proposals, etc.).
  • Support CTDI’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Work with all levels of management to define and prioritize work flow.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with building management and/or maintenance.
  • Experience managing a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drywall, boilers, as well as grounds maintenance
  • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial electrical experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues / turn projects timely and efficiently.
  • Schedule flexibility –some travel as needed, on-call for emergency situations (some locations are 24 hour facilities).
