The Salvation Army's Camp Mihaska located in Bourbon, Missouri, is looking for a full-time Facilities Manager. This is a salaried position that will work to maintain the excellence of the camp operations by providing oversight of all maintenance, custodial, and housekeeping functions.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the maintenance and repairs of structures, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical services, and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, and snow blowers. They will be efficient with the use of hand tools and power tools for use on basic maintenance projects. For larger maintenance and repair projects requiring an outside vendor, this position will contact, meet, gather bids if needed, and discuss options with the Camp Director and others as necessary. The Facilities Manager will oversee project management of all maintenance and repair projects.
Other duties include setting up rooms and equipment for outside rental groups, performing routine janitorial services (as needed), and ensure vehicles and off-road vehicles are maintained and operational.
This position supervises the maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping staff.
Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to, the ability to lift up to 150 pounds. Must be able to lift, pull, push materials over 100 pounds on a regular basis (items such as rock salt, cleaning supplies, tractor parts, chairs, beds, and food deliveries). Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch down. Good computer skills are a must as this position will use email, Outlook, and Word.
