Facilities Manager – JLL

What this job involves:

As our Workplace Experience Leader for a leading multinational client, you'll be the strategic architect of our physical workplace environment, ensuring every aspect of our facilities enhances productivity, wellbeing, and organizational culture. This isn't just facilities management—it's workplace experience curation. You'll lead comprehensive facility operations with strategic vision while building meaningful partnerships across all organizational levels. This role combines operational excellence with stakeholder-focused leadership to create exceptional workplace experiences that drive employee engagement and business success. You'll directly impact employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business continuity while positioning our organization as an employer of choice through exceptional facility stewardship.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Drive operational excellence across all facility functions including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, building maintenance programs, and preventive maintenance schedules that maximize equipment lifespan while minimizing business disruption

Manage space planning and optimization including office layouts, workspace configuration, and renovation projects to support evolving business needs and hybrid work models, ensuring quality delivery within budget and timeline parameters

Serve as primary liaison with C-suite executives, department heads, cross-functional teams, and executive assistants to understand and anticipate facility needs, implementing client programs and maintaining exceptional service standards

Cultivate strategic vendor relationships with contractors, service providers, and suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and cost optimization while managing compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards

Lead facility committees and stakeholder meetings to gather feedback, communicate operational updates, and partner with HR and IT teams to create integrated workplace solutions that support employee experience

Develop and execute long-term facility master plans that align with business growth projections, lead budget planning initiatives, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings

Implement workplace technology solutions including space management systems, digital room booking platforms, and IoT building management systems while analyzing facility utilization data to optimize space allocation and support data-driven real estate decisions

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 7 years progressive facilities management experience with at least 3 years in leadership roles managing teams and operations

Proven track record managing large-scale facility operations (50,000+ square feet or multi-site portfolios) in corporate office environments

Strong technical expertise with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems with demonstrated ability to oversee maintenance programs and troubleshoot complex facility issues

Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate and influence at all organizational levels including C-suite executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams

Budget management experience including cost planning, vendor negotiations, and identifying operational efficiency opportunities

Demonstrated project management capabilities in coordinating renovations, space planning initiatives, and facility improvement projects within budget and timeline constraints

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification such as Facility Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or equivalent recognized credentials

Experience with workplace technology platforms including space management systems, digital room booking tools, and IoT-enabled building management systems

Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management programs aligned with corporate environmental goals and green building standards

Familiarity with hybrid workplace models and modern workplace design trends that support flexible work arrangements

Experience managing multinational corporate office environments with understanding of diverse stakeholder needs and cultural considerations

Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage facility utilization data and KPIs to drive strategic decision-making and demonstrate ROI

Background in change management and communication strategies that effectively engage employees during facility transitions, improvements, or maintenance activities
