Facilities Manager – Sydney CBD
Location: Sydney, NSW
Company: BGIS, Government Client (High-Profile CBD Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-Site plus 1 Day WFH (post probation)
Salary: $100-110,000 plus superannuation

Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking a Facilities Manager to support the smooth and efficient running of a high-profile government building in Sydney’s CBD, along with a portfolio of remote managed sites. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this client-facing role will see you working closely with senior executives, service partners, and BGIS colleagues to provide a welcoming, reliable, and professional facilities service.

This role is well suited to someone who values collaboration, enjoys building relationships, and can work independently while knowing when to seek support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations at a flagship CBD site
  • Support maintenance, compliance, and service delivery across base building and remote properties
  • Be the primary on-site contact for client executives, providing friendly, solution-focused support
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely services
  • Monitor budgets and reporting, with guidance from the Account Manager
  • Look for opportunities to make processes easier and more effective for clients and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and contractual obligations

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Experience in facilities management, property services, or a related field
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while staying connected with the wider team
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (mandatory client requirement)

Desirable:

  • Trade qualification or equivalent background
  • Experience working in government or secure environments
  • Strong customer service background

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based in Sydney CBD, close to transport links and a short walk from Circular Quay. Following probation and training, there is flexibility to work 1 day per week from home.
