Job Description

The Facilities Manager plays a key role in gathering MEP data throughout Welltower’s diverse property portfolio. This position requires a detailed and organized individual with an understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing fixtures and systems. The ideal candidate will be able to travel regularly while delivering high-impact results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Sr. Facilities Manager in gathering MEP data to upload into the Facilities Maintenance program.
• Support “going live” with operator teams throughout Welltower’s portfolio.
• Identify and escalate immediate needs of the properties visited.
• Manage vendor and operator team relationships, service contracts, and performance metrics to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital projects, emergency response planning, and compliance initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, applying new knowledge to improve operations.
• Support long-term capital planning and budgeting efforts in coordination with senior leadership.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve asset performance and environmental impact.

TRAVEL

• This role will be expected to travel regularly between multiple project sites.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in facilities operations, with demonstrated responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience leading teams and managing stakeholders.
• Experience with Yardi platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION

Salaries may vary by location. The range for this role in Denver, CO or Chicago, IL is $92,800- $133,700plus bonus. Final compensation determinations are made based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual experience, education, and skill level; business strategic priorities; primary office location; scope and anticipated strategic impact of the role.
