Overview

Facilities Management Specialist (H40-2026-26166):

Bowhead seeks a Facilities Management Specialist to support the Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects. This position will serve as the support lab operation and facilities requirements across multiple labs and buildings. Limited travel of 3% annually can be expected

Responsibilities

As a Facilities Management Specialist, duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the implementation of all facilities upgrades, personnel moves, and repairs for BMS facilities coordinating with H Dept Facilities reps, NAVFAC, and other groups as needed.
  • Support the bi-weekly BMS Facilities IPT to identify needs and communicate status and coordinate activities with BMS program, H40 line management, and technical leadership.
  • Submit formal and informal reports using current technology systems such as Microsoft Office
  • Coordinate facilities matters including future requirements with line management, program and project management, department facilities leads, lab managers, and all other stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of proposals for future strategic investments such as Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and other funding opportunities to meet future needs.
  • Support lab operations including serving as Custodian for BMS OSS labs as needed.
  • Awareness of OSHA and Federal environmental regulations

Qualifications

  • One to three (1-3) years combined experience in military logistics, procurement and / or Warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Government facilities management, maintaining database systems, and with logistics operations.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government organizations and contractors.
  • Familiar with basic facilities, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations for facilities management
  • Proficiency in the utilization of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
  • Able to use warehouse stairs and ladders without assistance

Target salary is $86,000/annually to $96,000/annually commensurate with experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
