What you will have an opportunity to do:

Mission of the Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of the hotel’s physical facilities.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC system maintenance.
Address guest room issues and respond to maintenance requests.
Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces paster, plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim. Cut and lay flooring.
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems.
Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests. Follow work order procedures.
Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort preferred.
  • Knowledge of "household" repairs a must.
  • Able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong technical skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of a shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
