of the Position
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting facility maintenance, repair, safety, and reliability activities across the JELD-WEN Kissimmee site. This role performs preventive, corrective, and general maintenance on facility systems, building infrastructure, grounds, utilities, and support equipment to ensure a safe, organized, and operational work environment. The position supports production operations by responding to facility-related needs, completing assigned work orders, coordinating with contractors when needed, and maintaining compliance with site safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification, trade school training, or associate degree in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or building maintenance is preferred. Experience using a CMMS system, basic computer skills, and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, use hand tools and power tools, read instructions, communicate clearly, and work in production and facility environments. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must be able to work around machinery, noise, dust, heat, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing facility while wearing required PPE.
