Summary
Maintenance is a dynamic and essential role that involves problem-solving, innovation, and the satisfaction of keeping spaces running smoothly and efficiently.
Anakeesta is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of our award-winning mountaintop adventure park. A successful Maintenance Technician is well versed in using various types of tools, following both written and spoken directions, and can perform assignments independently. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions and ensures that the park is guest-ready every day.
Facilities Maintenance Technicians perform a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and preventative tasks, supporting everything from buildings and walkways to guest amenities and operational spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance across park facilities, buildings, and grounds.
- Assist Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Painters, and other trades as needed.
- Conduct minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Use hand and power tools including hammers, saws, rakes, shovels, chainsaws, and related equipment.
- Drive vehicles, including 4-wheel drive, off-road vehicles, and golf carts as required.
- Assist with power washing, staining, sealing, and surface maintenance of guest areas and structures.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Support seasonal installations, special events, and capital improvement projects.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational needs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Work collaboratively with Landscape, Operations, and other Maintenance team members.
- Perform other duties and specialty projects as assigned.

QualificationsWhat You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- At least two (2) years of facilities or general maintenance experience in a variety of environments.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments in all types of weather.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as the facility operates seven days a week.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds independently and team-lift heavier items as needed.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods on uneven ground.
- Ability to work at various heights and in rough terrain.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs.
- Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed.
- Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities.
