Job Description

This position supports management’s efforts in the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure well-managed, well-maintained buildings, placing maximum emphasis on positive responses to the concerns and needs of the employees and tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs in coordination and conjunction with the owner’s goals and objectives.

Primary Duties:

  • Routine interior and exterior maintenance at all Bell Bank owned and leased locations.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment and buildings.
  • Complete a wide variety of general handyman tasks such as door & lock repairs, lightbulb replacements, minor plumbing repairs, and paint touch-ups.
  • Coordinate work with contractors, vendors, facilities team members and employees on seasonal contracts, repairs and capital projects.
  • Monitor seasonal vendors to include lawn care, landscaping, snow remodel, etc.
  • Manage and create preventative maintenance schedules by location.
  • Thoroughly and accurately maintain documents relating to work orders, preventative maintenance and department procedures.
  • Assist with deliveries, distributions, shipping and receiving.
  • Assist with ensuring that all facilities are in compliance with building, safety, fire codes and regulations.
  • Manage an orderly workspace, storage units, mechanical rooms, etc.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity preparation and planning as it relates to the facilities department.
  • Proactively raise suggestions, concerns and matters that should be addressed by the team/management for improvement.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
  • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
  • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:

  • Ten years of substantial knowledge of various phases of building construction, building maintenance and repair including mechanical systems, site management, janitorial work and office renovation.
  • Ten years of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, carpentry, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of reviewing construction documents.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner and prioritize important work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Perform proactivity, take initiative and follow through on all tasks and communication.
  • Ability to work within the parameters established by management.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting deadlines, timely reporting to management, and workplace demands.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task with a result driven attitude, while focusing on the goals of the department and organization.
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentially.
  • Capacity to work flexible hours to support the company needs, to include after hours and weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Ability to travel daily within the Metro; and out of state as needed.
