Washington corporations is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to plan and coordinates daily activities to maximize efficiency and accuracy, carry out assigned maintenance duties in accordance with proper procedures, methods, practices and techniques.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks involving general maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds. Depending on assignment, duties may include: making minor plumbing repairs, replacing light bulbs and fluorescent lights, performing basic carpentry work.
Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
Grounds work as directed which may include picking up trash.
Providing snow and ice removal services.
Special projects and other responsibilities may be directed.
Skills and Abilities:
Basic handyman knowledge preferred.
Oral and written communication skills.
Attentiveness to detail.
Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex.
Ability to work as a team towards a common goal and effectively collaborate with all Company team members.
Ability to multi-task.
Great customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent.
General computer skills – Excel, Word and Microsoft Office. AutoCAD experience preferred.
OSHA 30-hour general industry card preferred.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to respond to after-hour and weekend emergency calls.
Must be able to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and lift up to 75 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
