The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of designated Club buildings and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance of the heating system, electrical equipment, pools, plumbing, security system, and program equipment reported as needing maintenance assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance & Quality
- Monitor heating, plumbing, electrical and security systems on a daily basis.
- Document and resolve building issues and track in log book/digital system daily.
- Maintain inventory of building supplies and tools, includes ordering cleaning supplies as necessary and coordinating any other purchases for building with the ED or DOPs.
- Perform daily cleanup of trash around the building.
- Perform morning walk-through of the facility to ensure that the cleaning contract is being followed
- Required to be on call in case alarms go off at night
- Make repairs to the building and program equipment as needed.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Using BGCA standards and assessment tools, inspect building for safety on a regular basis and report concerns immediately to Club leadership for further escalation to Sr. Facilities Manager (if needed).
- Complete building inspection forms and check lists.
- Remove snow from walkways, stairs, and other grounds as needed and coordinate snow plowing contractors as necessary.
- Sustain, with the Senior Director of Facilities Management, compliance codes for various permits and certificates including, but not limited to, fire, occupancy, Office for Child Care Services, Department of Health, and mechanical equipment, and coordinate resulting fire, sprinkler and elevator inspections.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Perform morning walk-through of facility to ensure that cleaning contract is being followed. Report any areas of concern on a daily basis to the cleaning company and keep the Executive/Club Director and Sr. Director of Facilities Management informed of any performance or service concerns.
- Respond to staff reports of problems in an expedient and thorough manner.
- Contact outside services, with prior approval from Sr. Director of Facilities Management and facilitate and track work at building by outside vendors.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in appropriate professional development opportunities, 1:1 meetings with supervisor, staff meetings, and facilities department meetings as required.
- Other related duties as specified by the Sr. Director of Facilities Management, Executive/Club Director, and DOPs

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum 3 years-experience in related field with field certifications or equivalent experience considered
- Direct experience in building maintenance is critical.
- General knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing and electrical repair.
- Ability to resolve maintenance problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to balance demands of multiple sites with the daily need for clean buildings and grounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- MS Office and web competency preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license
TRAVEL
Local travel to ensure facilities maintenance

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary - $33.19/hour - $42.56/hour - commensurate with experience; along with competitive benefits and a great work environment
