Job Role & Key Responsibilities

Permanent role responsible for maintaining and servicing mechanical systems within building services environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain AHUs, FCUs, pump seals, bearings, and alignment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
  • Participate in on-call rota and seasonal shift patterns (including some weekends/evenings)
  • Prioritise maintenance tasks to meet business needs and complete work to high standards
  • Supervise contractors on-site, ensuring safe and effective work completion
  • Provide technical support for building plant and equipment
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work
  • Carry out additional duties as required by management

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC)
  • Proven experience in building services mechanical maintenance
  • Competence in AHU, FCU, pump seal, bearing, and alignment work
  • Proficiency in other building services disciplines (BMS, electrical)
  • Ability to complete reports and job sheets manually or electronically
  • Full, clean driving licence

Desirable Skills:

  • Broader multi-skilled capability across mechanical and electrical building systems
