Job Category: FacilitiesThe position has the day-to-day responsibilities for ensuring all of the Council's properties and facilities meet all safety, statutory, regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements.

Qualifications
- Two-year degree in business administration, facilities management, construction, or related field preferred.  Comparable work experience in facilities/property maintenance may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Two years of experience working in facilities or property management is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Must have working knowledge of local, state, and federal building and licensing codes and regulations.

Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. works to address the causes and conditions of poverty locally.

As the designated community action agency for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas counties, we create opportunities for individuals and families that assist them in becoming self-sufficient. To that end, the Council focuses its resources on child and youth development, family development (including social and economic self-sufficiency), employment strategies, health, transportation, safety net (emergency) services, housing services, economic development, technology, and volunteerism.

As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the War on Poverty, we are pleased with the many accomplishments we have garnered, while openly cognizant of the challenges before us. Remaining informed of our purpose helps ensure that everything we do has the explicit goal of helping to move someone out of poverty and creating a livable community for all.
