DOE
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to conduct maintenance and repairs for Harmons locations in a timely manner and according to Harmons standards. This person will be performing maintenance and repairs including minor plumbing, minor electrical, and flooring. This person will also assist Harmons departments with maintenance issues and will complete handyperson projects based on the location needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follows established support office policies and procedures
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and fixtures as needed
• Maintains plumbing repairs including leaking faucets, toilets, and drains
• Repair and maintain office furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical repairs including switches on register belts and lights, plugs, etc.
• Responsible for painting and touch-up painting for stores including interior and minor exterior
• Conduct minor carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture
• Repairs flooring as needed to maintain company standards
• Ensures roof drains are working properly
• Drives to suppliers as needed to pick up materials and parts
• Handle emergency repairs and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Completes various projects as directed by the Vice President of Store Development and Facilities Manager
• Delivers excellent customer service
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the company as a whole

MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Consistent and daily interaction with vendors and suppliers

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, 2 years of experience in maintenance or handyperson work, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, floor repairs, painting, and overall repair work
• Knowledge of food service equipment preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between stores and pick up items from suppliers
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures
• Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively
• Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, consistent and forward focused
• Ability to use good judgment and to make decisions quickly and independently
• Must be able to prioritize and time projects as to not interfere with normal business

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot, cold, slippery, and wet conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. The associate will use tools such as a drill, hammer, wrench, painting tools, and circular hand saws on a day-to-day basis. This position also requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire workday and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
