Job Description

The best candidate for this position is expected to be able to;

Operate mowers, weed-eaters, and air blowers. Yardwork, (flower bed, pruning, etc).
Ability to work independently and perform requested duties. Assist in the painting on
campus. Follow instructions while shopping for maintenance related supplies. Perform
inspections on buildings, vehicles, fire extinguishers, etc. Fill in for the Maintenance Manager when he/she is absent. Communicate with waste/public water inspectors and engineers. Assist with the operation and maintenance of water and potable water systems. Remove and install systems as necessary. Adheres to the policy and practice concerning issues of creation, editing, transmission, storage and disposition of all Protected Health Information (PHI) of Sequel Youth & Family Youth Services. Assist with routine work orders.
Other duties as assigned and needed for the facility.

Other functions include but are not limited to:

Maintains facility in clean, sanitary and attractive manner. These duties include but are not limited to cleaning bathrooms, emptying and replacing trash liners daily. Adequate bathroom supplies provided to bathroom areas as needed. Assisting kitchen staff with decreasing floors and equipment. Ensuring all area of facility are cleaned and dusted at least weekly and more often as needed.

• Orders, receives and maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies within budgetary guidelines.

Observes cleaning needs and make corrections or performs tasks without further directions or orders from supervisor.

• Stores janitorial supplies in a safe, orderly manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on building, equipment and vehicles regularly.
• Maintains all cleaning equipment in good working order.
• Responds to work orders or special requests in a timely and courteous manner.

Maintain program vehicles in an efficient manner, to include checking van weekly and completing the vehicle maintenance log.


Ability to estimate costs for maintenance projects, get bids as directed, and complete tasks within budgetary guidelines.
Adheres to the policy and practice concerning issues of creation, editing, transmission, storage and disposition of all Protected Health Information (PHI) of Sequel Youth & Family Youth Services.

Education Required:
High School Diploma OR GED

Experience:
Six months or more

Skills desired:
General computer skills, skills required to complete the above-mentioned duties.
