Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, responsible for the day to day maintenance and operational efficiency of the physical plant including all functions related to event activity, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire and life safety systems, security systems, climate control systems, wall and glass systems, and roofing systems. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinates:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
• Analyzes event information, schedules and resumes and determines necessary labor for completion of assignments in the most efficient and economical means in accordance with budget.
• Assists Chief Engineer in ensuring proper and efficient operation of all facility equipment and systems and all green, energy savings systems.
• Plans, schedules, coordinates and supervises maintenance of Facility and equipment in-line with the standards of a first-class facility.
• Develops, recommends and plans preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment and systems in coordination with Chief Engineer.
• Schedules and oversees inspections of building and its systems as directed.
• Oversees the work of maintenance and service contractors to ensure satisfactory work and compliance with SMG standards as directed.
• Assists in developing and implementing an emergency action plan for system malfunctions or breakdowns and recommends corrective actions and solutions as needed.
• Utilizes, performs data entry and ensures maintenance staff’s proper utilization of ASM Global Maintenance Manager System (Altum).
• Assists Chief Engineer in ensuring compliance with current and future LEED standards and protocols.
• Acts as contact for suppliers, contractors and vendors as directed by Chief Engineer.
• Acts as a resource for Sales and Events staff with event based technical inquiries and challenges.
• Assists Chief Engineer in ensuring adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
• Maintains current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on all products and ensures proper SDS labels and warnings are posted.
• Represents Engineering Department (Engineering) during internal and external planning meetings.
• Responsible for the tracking and reporting of any changes to FFE to Chief Engineer.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Under the direction of Chief Engineer directly supervises Facility Tech I and Facility Tech II employees in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.
Salary: $63,000 - $68,000 Annually

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's Degree with major in Engineering is preferred. Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in facility engineer position or substantially similar position required.
Skills/Aptitudes
• This position requires significant skill and aptitude in leadership, judgment, decision making, resolution of complex issues, the ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously, the ability to work within budgets, and provide customer service.
• This position requires excellent organization skills, the ability to meet deadlines, the ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member and requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Computer Skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient computer skills to operate Altum (preventative maintenance software) and the BAS as well as other automated systems.
Requires ability to work with spread sheets and project tracking programs.

• This position requires moderate lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling and equipment operation. The position requires work both indoors and outdoors and is subject to adverse conditions and working in tight areas as well as under limited lighting conditions.
• This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
• On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to Facility emergencies.
