Job Title: HVAC/R Sr: Rochester General Hospital (Full time- Days and weekend Rotation).

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, on call weekend rotation
Coordinates, schedules, installs, maintains, repairs and oversees all HVACR related work. Work involves performance of skilled HVACR tasks in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of HVACR equipment. Routine maintenance, service, and repair work are performed independently with minimal direction. Provide direction and training for other facilities staff as needed to accomplish HVACR tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, schedule, and oversee HVACR tasks, including system maintenance, repairs, and contractor coordination; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NEC, JCAHO).
Monitor, program, and adjust DDC control systems; create custom data trends to optimize HVACR system performance and regulatory compliance.
Perform a wide range of HVACR work—from environmental adjustments and preventive maintenance to complex troubleshooting, equipment installation, and air system balancing.
Interpret schematics, specifications, and regulatory codes (e.g., FGI) to execute work accurately and ensure compliant system outcomes.
Operate and maintain specialized HVACR tools and equipment; document all work performed and provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
Develop and update maintenance procedures, task specs, and shutdown protocols; communicate project timelines, costs, and updates with stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 year’s experience in HVAC/R experience required
EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Concentration in refrigeration and DDC controls
Good working knowledge of functionality with variety of HVAC control systems
Keen troubleshooting skills in HVAC and refrigeration
Good working knowledge of codes and FGI guidelines

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
