About this job:

Coordinates and oversees day-to-day logistics and operational initiatives and projects. Coordinates the development and implementation of various initiatives across DPS Facilities, internal Denver Public School departments, and external stakeholders. Creates and maintains district communications from Facilities to internal and external departments. Creates, maintains, and guides internal processes that relate to Facilities. Provides accounting support for Facilities to execute both daily and ongoing projects/initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Routes and reviews work tasks to ensure accuracy of request details, classification and responsible organization

• Responds to a high volume of communications and prioritizes effectively. Communicates and coordinates any response as required

• Responds to and communicates emergency situations and utility outages accurately and timely

• Distinguishes vandalism and insurance eligible work orders and assigns accordingly

• Advises callers of proper regulatory processes and procedures

• Creates, distributes, and maintains a variety of communications, processes and procedures for internal and external use

• Supports internal processes around accident reporting. Ensuring paperwork is received and accurate

• Coordinates communication flow between project mangers, operations and maintenance personnel, consultants, contractors, schools, principals and the public

• Provides accounting support for projects and daily work. Includes entering purchase orders, submitting invoices, reviewing payment status, entering journal entries and reconciling district p-cards

• Maintains knowledge and provides guidance of current district and department procedures around the financial systems, purchases and set up for each department

• Performs general budget tracking, financial reporting, schedule coordination and program reporting

• Collaborates to get accurate accounting information for Facility Maintenance projects

• Defines project scopes, schedules, and compiles cost estimates for projects and initiatives. Including new work and volunteer performed work

• Identifies, generates and assigns planning requests


What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
