Full time, requires travel between hospital facilities, healthcare or safety experience preferred.
Pay Range
$30.70 - $53.25
Major Responsibilities:
Creates, prepares, and presents safety related reports and instructional materials to Environmental Health &Safety teammates; disseminates safety related information to teammates.
Develops safety surveys to identify hazards and investigate identified safety issues, summarizes findings into reports, recommendations, and assists in identifying and implementing corrective actions; analyzes and prepares reports for safety data (i.e., injury statistics, environmental tours, etc.) and provides benchmarks and trends as necessary.
Researchand remain current on federal, state, and local regulations and best practices; including but not limited to The Joint Commission, OSHA, and EPAResearch new regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to safety program management.
Supports the development of compliance programs, policies, and regulatory action plans; assists in developing and presenting safety presentations or in-service presentations to various audiences as necessary.
Improves safety programs and teamwork throughout the Environmental Health & Safety department and organization; assists in evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs; coordinates department safety committees and participates on Atrium Health Safety committees or groups.
Provides assistance toFacilities and Environmental Health & Safety compliance with policies
Designs and implements databases used for monitoring, trending, tracking, and auditing (i.e., findings, regulations, risks, etc.); compiles statistical data for trending of Atrium Health safety issues; maintains and compiles safety program documentation for safety programs as necessary
Maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for assigned facilities.
Develops templates for risk assessments, policies, and survey/inspections tools.
Manages department SharePoint sites and internal intranet documents.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
None Required.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required Safety, Engineering, Business, or Health Administration
Experience Required:
1 year of analytical experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Basic knowledge with industry requirements and/or compliance with OSHA, The Joint Commission, EPA, and Life Safety standards required
Experience using a personal computer, copier, telefax machine, 10-key calculator, and a multi-line telephone are required
Familiar with SharePoint and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Visio.
