We are currently looking for a Facilities Engineering Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. The Facilities Engineering team provides a wide range of engineering services that support buildings, utilities, and infrastructure across Nissan operations throughout the United States and Canada. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting engineering projects tied to new vehicle launches while working with experienced professionals responsible for critical facility systems and infrastructure.

A Day in the Life:

  • Support facilities engineering projects related to new vehicle launches and plant operations.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution involving building systems and utility infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and contractor teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze project data, track milestones, and support reporting activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and project execution through innovative solutions and advanced technologies.

Who We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Students entering their Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to utilize advanced productivity tools and technologies, including AI tools and advanced Excel techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
