A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Facilities Engineer at MKS, Inc., you will plan and oversee execution of facility changes for our Nogales site. In this role, you will report to the Global Director of Facilities.
You Will Make an Impact By:
• Provide manufacturing plant operational support on complex issues/projects as they arise.
• Oversees Facility projects, budget, and contractors for project installation; Design, install and maintain gas detection or building management systems.
• Assist with site space allocation, layout activities and support of facilities expansion/consolidation projects
• Support the department in space planning efforts including moves, adds, and changes
• Research and implement new technology to improve operational efficiency
· Support department vendor management, quotes, PO process, invoices and payments tracking
• Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs
• Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes
• Travel Requirements: Up to 15 % of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations and knowledge of building and life safety codes.
• AutoCAD Pro
• Estimation and budgeting experience
• Bilingual - Spanish/English
• A background in labor capacity planning is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.

• Noise level in the work environment is usually at an acceptable level
