The Role


As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Facilities Electrical Technician to join our Facilities & Maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and developing the electrical infrastructure that supports our advanced manufacturing facility. You'll be responsible for ensuring our site remains safe, compliant and operational, while driving improvements that enhance reliability, sustainability and efficiency.

Working closely with colleagues across Engineering, Production, Health & Safety and external contractors, you'll take ownership of electrical compliance, planned maintenance, facilities projects and continuous improvement initiatives that keep our operations running smoothly.

You Will:

  • Lead electrical safety and statutory compliance across the site, ensuring adherence to the Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671 and other relevant legislation.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for electrical infrastructure and associated building services.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections, testing, certification and remedial works, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Support the maintenance and development of site utilities including electrical distribution, lighting, emergency systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Deliver facilities improvement and capital investment projects from planning through to completion.
  • Work closely with specialist contractors, reviewing RAMS, issuing permits to work and monitoring contractor performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency and overall site performance.
  • Maintain technical records, asset registers, drawings and maintenance documentation.
  • Support business continuity by ensuring facilities are
    maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

About You


You're an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.

You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, take pride in maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.

Whether you're managing contractors, delivering improvement projects or resolving technical issues, you're confident making decisions and committed to delivering excellent results.

You Will Have:

  • HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience managing electrical compliance activities.
  • Good understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations and CDM Regulations.
  • Experience managing contractors and safe systems of work.
  • Strong organisational, communication and documentation skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects effectively.
Desirable Skills

  • 2391/2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Knowledge of utilities management and energy reduction initiatives.
  • Experience delivering facilities or infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
