Position Objective
The Facilities Coordinator plays an important role in the overall success of every event that takes place on property by ensuring that event spaces are properly set up. The purpose of the position is to be responsible for the set-up, service and clearing of food and beverage items to banquet guests in a manner consistent with Leal service standards. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient matter. At all times, Léal Vineyards staff members are expected to be attentive to our guests needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
The Facilities Coordinator will follow through with the proper and timely setup and tear down of each event. Includes the setup of tables, chairs, stages and audio/visual equipment as needed. Maintain all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean and safe environment.
Event Preparation/ Set-Up
Review the banquet event forms at the beginning of each shift to ensure that the correct linen, glassware and flatware is set for the event. Set up and tear down of banquet rooms as stated on the BEO and seating charts.
Organize and clean banquet storage areas
Cleaning and mopping facilities – bathrooms, offices, event facilities, etc.
Assist in ensuring that the events are setup on time
Prepares tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables, etc. as specified in the Banquet Event Order.
Assists in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the Banquet Event Order.
Change out dirty linens with clean linens
Practice ‘clean as you go’ policy
Final breakdown of events
Empty all trash from the facilities after the event
Guest Service
Greet guests warmly with a friendly and professional greeting
Project an approachable, engaging, friendly and accommodating demeanor to both external and internal guests.
Follow all company standards and expectations to deliver exceptional guest service.
Use professional language that is devoid of slang, swear words and refrains from addressing guest in an overly familiar manner.
Anticipate guests needs and asks questions, delivers service within department guidelines, check for guest satisfaction, and offer additional assistance and expresses friendly appreciation for their business with our company.
Event Service
Delivers and serves food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments, and accompaniments for assigned banquet events.
Ensures each course is cleared in a timely manner and that tables are properly crumbed.
Removes china, glassware, silverware, and trash from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and delivers them to the stewarding area.
Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking and rolling of silverware.
Replenishes buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
Monitors tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
General Tasks
Keep equipment in order and stored in appropriate areas
Keep accurate and adequate inventory of all supplies
Inspect all equipment to make sure that it is safe and free from defects
Drive company vehicles as needed for pick-ups and deliveries
Drive company golf carts as needed, at appropriate speed and with caution
Ensure the proper use of equipment
Practice safe working habits and take appropriate breaks and meal periods in a timely manner per state and federal labor laws
Maintain high standards for safety and cleanliness in all areas of the property
Assists fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
Follows Company and department policies, procedures and service standards.
Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverage items.
Performs all other job duties as requested by management
QualificationsRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Competences
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous facilities experience preferred in a hospitality environment
Excellent oral communication skills required
Positive interpersonal skills required
Must maintain a current and valid Driver License with satisfactory driving record
Must possess and maintain a current California Food Handlers Card
Must possess and maintain a current California ABC Responsible Beverage Serving (RBS) Certificate
