Job Description

The USC School of Cinematic Arts Office of Facilities Management and Operations is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join its team. The school’s state-of-the-art facilities include classrooms, computer laboratories, theatres, stages, administrative offices, exhibition spaces, and a cafe.

The Facilities Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of School of Cinematic Arts facilities located both on and off campus. This position serves a key role in coordinating academic space scheduling and facilities operations to ensure an exceptional environment for teaching, learning, research, and special events.

Primary responsibilities include scheduling and assigning instructional spaces for academic courses; coordinating classroom, theater, stage, and computer lab utilization; addressing repair and maintenance issues; conducting facility inspections; managing access controls; coordinating vendor services; supporting facility opening and closing procedures; implementing process improvements; and hiring, training, and supervising student workers.

The Facilities Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and campus partners regarding facilities-related needs and space utilization. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, sound judgement, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of related experience; combined education and experience may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.

The hourly range for this position is $39.95 - $45.24.
