Are you interested in pursuing meaningful work?  Are you interested in ending intimate partner violence in Tarrant County?  The Archway is Tarrant County’s only state-designated family violence program – this means we have the honor of working alongside domestic violence victims to keep them safe and simultaneously do our part in holding offenders accountable.  We are excited to welcome new staff into our family and to work on this critical, life-saving mission together. The Archway is seeking a Facilities Coordinator.   The Facilities Coordinator is an essential part of the operations team. The position coordinates and supervises activities to ensure all facilities are maintained, repaired and in compliance with regulations. Our locations are in Arlington and Fort Worth.  In this position you will ensure all assigned locations are in compliance with OSHA standards.   Responsibilities include developing and implementing a system for maintenance, inspection, fueling and cleanliness of all agency vehicles.   Additionally, the role maintains a roster of technicians and service companies needed to ensure smooth operation of agency facilities and equipment including building, flooring, plumbing, electrical, security, all outdoor areas, furniture and HVAC.   An essential duty is scheduling all facility reviews for inspection from outside sources such as OSHA, fire sprinkler systems, and all HVAC annual servicing.   The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supervising maintenance and janitorial employees, training new employees, evaluates performance of employee and submits timely and accurate reports,  This position has significant responsibilities such as planning and coordinating a rotating system for responding to on-call emergencies, including alarm calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.    The Facility Coordinator is required to respond to after-hours emergencies in a timely fashion.  The Archway values employees who are in line with the culture of the agency, including those who are curious, trustworthy, open communicators, flexible, and willing to be held accountable. Working in the domestic violence field can be hard – but we can do hard things. The specific qualifications for this role are:
  • High school diploma required, some college or college degree desired
  • Must be familiar with ADA, OSHA, communicable diseases abatement practices and other facility specific requirements.
  • Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, fire suppressing systems, burglar and fire alarm operation and can read blueprints.
  • 2-4 years of related maintenance experience
  • Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a residential or similar setting in a maintenance capacity.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, internet and e-mail applications.
  • Current Texas Driver’s License Required
  • Proof of liability automobile insurance
  • Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing.   Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances.
