INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:
The Facilities Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and team members. As a key member of our hospitality facilities team, you will ensure that all public areas, back-of-house spaces, and guest-facing environments consistently reflect our standards of excellence. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that directly impacts the guest experience and the overall operation of the property.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

• Perform routine inspections and cleaning of lobbies, corridors, restrooms, event spaces, and exterior grounds to uphold brand standards.
• Respond promptly to facilities requests and work orders submitted by guests, management, or other departments.
• Set up and break down event spaces, including arranging furniture, staging equipment, and ensuring readiness before events.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues such as lighting outages, plumbing concerns, HVAC irregularities, or safety hazards.
• Restock supply rooms, linen closets, restroom dispensers, and hospitality carts as needed throughout each shift.
• Assist with seasonal deep-cleaning projects, property renovations, and special initiatives as directed by the Facilities Supervisor.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and front desk teams to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience.
• Operate standard facility equipment, including floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and hand carts, in a safe and responsible manner.

WHAT YOU BRING:
• Prior experience in a facilities, janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance role, ideally within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• A strong sense of ownership and pride in your work, with attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a fast-paced, dynamic shift.
• A service-first mindset — comfortable interacting professionally with guests and representing the property with a positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper dilution ratios, and safe handling practices in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Reliability and punctuality; this role is essential to daily operations, and team members count on you to show up ready to contribute.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on property needs.

WHAT IT TAKES (PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS):
This is an active, physically demanding role. To perform the essential functions of this position, team members must be able to:
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the shift (up to 8–10 hours).
• Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted; heavier items with team assistance or equipment.
• Climb ladders or step stools to reach elevated areas for cleaning or light maintenance tasks.
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, and exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Operate motorized equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, or carts with proper training and certification.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, non-slip footwear, and eye protection as applicable.
