Job Description

Role

Under close supervision, cleans and maintains the facilities and the yard in accordance with company, City, State, and Safety requirements.

Shift will be Monday-Friday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM - subject to change given special tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Understands all safety programs and performs all work in accordance with company policies and standards.
  • Keeps all areas free of debris and hazards.
  • Performs weekly and monthly facility inspections.
  • Conducts daily tank inspections. Ensures Hazardous Waste Labels are in place and current.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance by steam cleaning and performing minor repairs to company and customer owned compactors.
  • Ensures wash racks are clean and free of debris, inspects for damaged cleaning equipment (i.e. pressure wash hoses, guns etc.).
  • Provides shop support, deliver/pick up parts and equipment from vendors and power wash parts for mechanics.
  • Responds to oil spills in accordance to local enforcement agency standards and assist with clean up both at the facility and in the field.
  • Drives Commercial truck, removes and properly disposes of materials in secondary containment pallets.
  • Organizes equipment and materials in yard such as debris boxes, compactors and tools.
  • Performs minor facility repairs to include but not be limited to repair/replacement of lights, minor plumbing, drywall and electrical repairs.
  • Repairs or lubricates door hinges/latches, repairs leaky faucets and replaces light bulbs.
  • Performs regular weed abatement throughout the property.
  • Blows and rakes leaves.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification and aerial work platform (Company to provide training).
  • One year of related experience.
  • Ability to physically operate equipment to include, and not limited to, steam cleaners, power washers, vacuum, lawn mower, edger’s, and power tools.
  • Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
