The Opportunity
At Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, we’re proud of the professional, welcoming environments we create for our people, clients, and visitors. We’re now looking for a Facilities Assistant to play a hands‑on role in keeping our Perth office running smoothly day to day.
This is a hybrid operational role supporting both Facilities and Client Services, working closely with the Facilities Coordinator, Front of House Supervisor, and wider Perth team.
You’ll contribute to a high‑quality workplace experience by providing practical support across office facilities, shared spaces, events, and front‑of‑house activity. The role is office‑based and requires flexibility to support busy periods, leave coverage, and events.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and being at the heart of office operations.
🕘 Working hours: 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (office based)
What you’ll do
Oversee the day‑to‑day presentation and functionality of office spaces, including kitchens, meeting rooms, breakout areas, and common areas
Coordinate cleaning, stock replenishment, and ordering of office supplies and consumables
Schedule and support maintenance, repairs, and preventative works with building management and contractors
Assist with office moves, floor plan updates, and physical space set‑ups
Support workplace health and safety activities, including inspections, first aid supplies, emergency equipment, and ergonomic set‑ups
Support front‑of‑house and client‑facing activity, ensuring meeting rooms and events are presentation‑ready
Assist with contractor coordination, minor repairs, furniture movements, and housekeeping tasks
Support new starter set‑ups, including security cards and locker allocations
Assist with visitor management, desk allocation, and issuing temporary access passes
Maintain First Aid, Parent’s and Reflection rooms, including stock management and laundry coordination
Provide operational backup and support to Facilities and Client Services during peak periods
Act as a Fire Warden as required and comply with all WHS obligations
What you’ll bring
Experience in a facilities, office support, hospitality, or client service environment (professional services ideal but not essential)
Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise changing demands
A proactive, hands‑on mindset and problem‑solving ability
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills
An interest in technology and openness to learning new systems
