HOURS OF WORK/CALENDAR: 8 hrs daily / 207_10 MO
This position will provide leadership and vision under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director of Learning Services in the support of school counselors by mentoring new school counselors and providing guidance on the implementation college & career readiness initiatives that support the district’s mission and vision as outlined in the strategic plan. The Facilitator of School Counseling and CCR Readiness will also support district leadership and building principals with implementation and planning of building level supports to ensure best practices and continuity of services.
The Facilitator of School Counseling and CCR Readiness has a deep knowledge of effective instruction and research- based practices related to school counseling, social emotional learning secondary college readiness and pathways of opportunity for post-secondary success. He/she establishes and maintains positive, on- going relationships and two-way communication with school principals, the career pathways team, school counselors and district leadership, to facilitate practices that positively impact student learning. He/she will also maintain up-to-date understanding of state requirements related to counseling curriculum and ethical standards as well as graduation requirements and compliance.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Facilitator of School Counseling and CCR Readinesswill work with K-12 school counselors to provide support and deliver professional learning, oversee a variety of compliance related aspects related to secondary programming, standards review, and curriculum resource selection as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normal office setting with light work requiring some lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 30% walking, and 10% standing and significant fine finger dexterity. The position requires typing, filing, use of telephone and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Stretching, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling are required a moderate amount of the time. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
