Job Description

Job Requirements:

1) Triages, coordinates, and schedules referrals of children where there is a concern of child physical or sexual abuse and sexual assault.

2. Meets with families to provide crisis intervention, assessment, and services before, during, and following a multidisciplinary forensic child abuse interview. Assesses the need for ongoing treatment and social services for the child, parent, or caretaker.

3) Identifies and triages the needs of each case that is presented with the Victim Services Supervisor and develops a plan of care. Assists in providing immediate consultation and guidance to referring agencies, families and medical providers with questions about assessing and managing abuse concerns.

4) Obtain and document case information at first contact to support appropriate medical evaluation of referred cases. Provide clinical telephone intake for child abuse evaluation programs at the Family Advocacy Center.

5) Provides case management to families impacted by sexual abuse, physical abuse, sexual exploitation, and homicide.

6) Completes an assessment of the acute and ongoing practical, medical, and mental health needs of children and families who come for forensic interviews or are identified as CSEC risk.

7) Follows and tracks the progress of cases over the six months or more following identification of abuse.

8) Maintains a database of case contact and service provision by the FAC.

9) Assists the Victim Services Supervisor in collaborating with the District Attorney’s office, law enforcement agencies, and the Department of Children and Families to maximize coordinated services and effective intervention.

10) Participates in regular meetings both internally at the Family Advocacy Center and externally with our partner agencies.

11) Assists with programming (i.e., outreach, events, newsletters) as appropriate.

12) Attends required training as part of accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

Minimally Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or Psychology

Preferred Education:

Minimally Required Experience:

One or more years in providing services to children and their non-offending caretakers who have experienced child abuse or maltreatment.

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$60,944.00 - $73,028.00 - $89,876.00
